Day 29, Saturday, 26/09

Today is the start of a 4-day holiday, Chuseok! On this day, koreans will travel back to their hometown to celebrate with their family. As for us, we decided to take a trip to the DMZ!

We met at around 730am to take the subway to Seoul station, when we arrive it is already 845am. We walked towards exit 1 to find the counter to purchase the DMZ train ticket. However the subway station that we saw just look like the normal subway we took, so we decided to ask some passenger that are waiting there.

Luckily we saw a train attendent there whom told us that we are at the wrong place and have to walk to the other train station to purchase the ticket. After we found the place, we asked the customer service where can we buy the tickets, they point to their right hand side and we are shock as there is super long queue!

So some of us queued while the others find out what time does the next DMZ trian leave. We were lucky enough to purchase the 927am ticket at around 910am. So after we get the ticket we ran towards the train.

There are quite a few food store there but as we are rushing for time we were not able to buy any food from there. However there is also food available for sale on the train too.

There is also a booth for people to try out korean traditional clothes, Hanbok!

Day 22, Saturday, 19/09

On this day, we went to Olympic Park. It's quite easy to find it as it has a subway station for itself. The main attraction of this place would be 'The Lonely Tree'. However, as we went during the weekend, it's not exactly lonely.

Beautiful patch of flowers

Ice cream that we use to have in Singapore!

There are quite a few couple taking wedding pictures there too! Even though there are so many people lying around.

Day 20, Thursday, 17/09

Today is the day! 'Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials' is released in Korea! Our plan is to visit Line Cafe and watch the movie at COEX mall

After school, we took the subway to Sinsa, where Garuso-Gil is. We aimlessly walked around hoping that we will find Line Cafe, however after awhile we decided to search for directions to the place. (Directions: Exit from Exit 8, walked straight until you see it's Skin then turn left and continue walking straight. Line Cafe is just next to Hollister.)

As i have mentioned, Line Cafe is just next to Hollister. As we do not have Hollister in Singapore we decided to just take a look inside. However, we stayed inside for about 45 minutes. HAHA! And we came out with some 'rewards' ~

We finally arrived at Line Cafe!!

After we are done eating at the Line Cafe, we walked along the street. Did not shop much as the stuff there are quite expensive.

Originally, we were suppose to go to COEX to watch the movie. But when we arrived at Sinsa, we saw that there is a LotteCinema just across the road and so we decided to just watch it there. We messaged Carrine and Ron to inform them of the change of plans.

After their classes have ended, we met up at Sinsa. As we still had some time left before the movie started we went to walk around and also bought some food to sneak into the cinema. The movie started at 730pm and is 2 hours plus long.

That's all for the day! XOXO!

Day 16, Sunday, 13/09

So we planned to head down to Han River to see the sunset today. As we had a long day before, most of us slept in till noon. We met in the cafeteria under the dorm for lunch together before heading back to change and leave for Han River.

Before we left to take the bus, we went to 설빙 (a famous shaved ice shop in Korea) to have some dessert. We then board bus 303 from the bus stop on the same side as our university. The journey is about 15 or 16 bus stops which is about almost an hour.

After arriving, we took a stroll along the river. We met a korean auntie who was walking her dog, she is very friendly and allowed us to play with her dog. We walked for quite a while before arriving at 7-11 and a shop selling fried chicken. We bought some ramen and ice cream and also took a rest at the resting area just in front of the convience store.

Time lapse of the sunset of that day! (Leonard braced the wind for 30 mins for this)

After the sun set, we sat down at the stairs near the river and decide how we are going to get dinner. To call for delivery or ordering from the shop. As we are worried that the delivery man will not be able to find us, we decided to get dinner from the shop.

As we are not very sure about the type of chicken they sell, we took a bet and ordered the first 2 type of chicken on their menu. So apparantly we ordered 2 normal fried chicken and 1 fried chicken with sauce and we bought our own drinks from 7-11.

After we are done eating, we sat their to enjoy the breeze and chat. At about 8 plus, we then decided to leave. We cross over to the other side and the bus came almost immediately.

That's all for the day!! Goodnight, XOXO!
P.S. We might not update for weekday as all we do is stay in school for lessons and studying in the dorm. But we will update if we were to go out! :)
